Delete your TerraADV account

TerraADV is published by Analemma Labs Pty Ltd, ABN 78 701 798 398. This page explains how to delete your TerraADV account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app or the web planner. You do not need to contact us first.
- Android app — open Settings → Account → Delete account, type
DELETEto confirm, then tap Delete my account. - iPhone app — open Settings → Account → Delete account, type
DELETEto confirm, then tap Delete my account. - Web planner — open your account menu and choose Delete account.
Deleting your account needs a network connection, and it cannot be undone.
If you cannot reach the app — for example you have uninstalled it, or you cannot sign in — email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm when it is done.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, we delete:
- your account record, email address and sign-in credentials;
- your name and profile details;
- private routes you saved to your account, including rides you recorded and kept;
- your garage — the vehicles you added and their details;
- the record of devices you have signed in from;
- community tracks you submitted that had not been approved;
- locally synced copies of your account's saved routes on that device.
What is kept, and why
Some contributions stay on the map after your account is deleted, but they are de-identified — the link between the contribution and you is severed, and it is no longer attributed to your account or shown under your name.
- hazard and road-condition reports you submitted;
- community tracks of yours that had been approved;
- routes you published to the community hub, and any ratings or comments you left;
- confirmations and disputes you cast, so report trust scores stay accurate.
This is deliberate. Other riders and drivers rely on these reports for safety, and removing them retrospectively would degrade the map for people who had nothing to do with the decision.
Separately, if you opted in to publishing a community track to OpenStreetMap, that contribution is part of a public map database licensed to the world and cannot be withdrawn, by you or by us. Deleting your TerraADV account does not remove it from OpenStreetMap.
How long it takes
Your account and sign-in are removed immediately. We aim to complete the rest of the deletion within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirement and to routine backup cycles, after which the data is overwritten in the ordinary course.
We may retain a minimal record that an account was deleted, and moderation records relating to a disputed report, where we need them to explain or revisit a decision. These do not identify you.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove things. In the app you can delete individual saved routes and recorded rides, withdraw a community track you submitted, and ask us to remove a report or photo. You can also ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
To make any of those requests, contact [email protected].
If you are not a TerraADV user
We may hold a small amount of information about people who do not have an account — for example a landholder whose contact details a user recorded for a track that needs permission, or an email address on our waiting list. You have the same rights: contact [email protected] and we will tell you what we hold and remove it on request.
